Quality of the Sintal Agriculture lands were confirmed by independent analysis
The Scottish Agricultural College conducted a detailed soil analysis of Sintal’s land and verified that Sintal operates top-quality land, located in a favourable climatic area with a considerable potential for productivity improvement
Land Recourses
Sintal manages 99 ths. ha of fertile agricultural land in Kharkiv and Kherson regions. The humus layer of the land, controlled by Sintal, exceeds the Ukrainian average by 30-50%. Quality black soils (“chernozems”) make up 80%-85% of the total company’s land. Sufficient for agricultural activity precipitation level and favourable for cropping average temperatures allow Sintal to receive high yields in Kharkiv region. Developed irrigation system, owned by Sintal, and high level of sun exposure enable the company to harvest two times per year in Kherson region.
Company pursues the strategy of taking care of land resources, which means:
- Implementation of elaborated crop rotation
- Use of modern equipment and agricultural machinery that helps to protect land
- Use of modern fertilization and tilling methodologies, such as GPS mapping and No-Till farming
- Use of modern irrigation methodologies to protect land from washing-out
Sintal’s land quality evaluation, which was carried out by the specialists from Scottish Agricultural College, confirmed that the company operates the top-quality land, located in a favourable climatic area with a considerable potential for productivity improvement.
